We have just experienced another horrifying attack on a group of innocent people. Like stars in the sky, there have been too many to count. It is becoming common. It is happening with such frequency, and people are de-sensitizing. That’s even worse. Where is the outrage? The trucker plowing into a crowd of Bastille Day celebrants is just as awful as the nightclub mass killing or the shopping mall/schools and theater shootings or bombs detonated during a marathon or in town centers. I am speechless. How does someone justify killing innocent people? How and why does this keep happening? I am just plain sad. I am also afraid for the future of my grandchildren. How can our world that is so off kilter right itself? We the people need to figure it out before the planet is destroyed as we sit back passively and let it happen. We have to de-fund the NRA, get politicians in office who want to work for the people who pay their salaries and give a damn. We have to participate. Be the change you want to see in the world.
I don’t want to make political statements, but this is one of those times where I feel justified.
