Everyday is a new day. Live it fully with intention. Let the sun’s rays wash over you and give you energy. The energy needed to face another day without the one who died.
I was just in the midst of planning out the mini-workshop that Donna Hanschu and I are doing next week. We were discussing what points would be the most important to make in a short amount of time. For me I want to let everyone know that grief is not a mental illness. It is a natural reaction to the devastating loss of a loved one. So, don’t treat those grieving as if there is something wrong with him or her. Don’t allow yourself to be treated as such either. You have to take care of yourself and be your best and strongest advocate… In fact, so that there is no mistake about what grief is here’s what the dictionary says:
-
1.deep sorrow, esp. that caused by someone’s death.“she was overcome with grief”
synonyms: sorrow, misery, sadness, anguish, pain, distress, heartache, heartbreak, agony, torment, affliction, suffering, woe, desolation, dejection, despair; More mourning, mournfulness, bereavement, lamentation;
